Klunk Announces $750,000 in State Grants for 169th District

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) today announced the approval of $750,000 in state funding through the Local Share Account (LSA) program to support two vital infrastructure projects in the 169th District.

“These grants reflect an investment in the future of our communities,” Klunk said. “Whether it's enhancing water infrastructure or improving roadway safety, each project will contribute to a safer, healthier, and more connected 169th District. I appreciated the opportunity to advocate for this funding and the positive change it brings.”

The approved projects include:

Glen Rock Water Authority, $516,647 to replace 1,100 linear feet of deteriorating waterline piping along Baltimore Street.
Manheim Township, $233,353 to replace the structurally deficient Intersection Road Bridge over Gun Powder Falls.

Glen Rock Water/Sewer Authority’s Dale E. Getz praised the funding that will be used to replace an antiquated water main on Pa. Route 616 (Baltimore Street).

“PennDOT has announced an existing retaining wall in dire need of replacement will be moving forward. Glen Rock Water Authority has water main that would conflict with PennDOT’s project and since it is some of the original water main, it would be in our best interest to coordinate the projects or be proactive with the project,” said Getz, director of administration for the authority.

Manheim Township Board of Supervisors Vice President Rose A. Kirkpatrick said the municipality will use its funding to replace the bridge, which she described as being in critical need of replacement.

“The safety and well-being of our residents, as well as those who travel through Manheim Township, remain a paramount priority. This grant enables the township to address an essential infrastructure need and continue its commitment to maintaining safe and reliable transportation systems for the community,” she said. “We are deeply grateful for the support and investment in the future of Manheim Township.”

The LSA program is funded by revenue generated from gaming in Pennsylvania and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
