Klunk to Host Senior Scam Jam for 169th District Residents

HARRISBURG—Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) is hosting a Senior Scam Jam for older adults in the 169th District on Friday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at The Cascade Room at Hickory Falls, 110 Hickory Lane in Hanover.

This event is presented in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. Presenters will teach seniors how to avoid common scams that lead to identity theft and financial fraud through fun and interactive games.

“I want to provide the older adults in my district with the opportunity to learn more about the ever-evolving tactics scammers and fraudsters use to gain access to sensitive information,” said Klunk. “Senior Scam Jam isn’t just an educational event. It’s a fun time with games and activities. I hope to see many people take advantage of this free event. You really can’t be too vigilant when it comes to personal security.”
