Klunk Hosting Back-to-School Event for 169th District Residents

HARRISBURG—Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) invites families residing in the 169th District that need school supplies for children in kindergarten through sixth grade to her Back-to-School Event. The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Utz Factory Outlet parking lot at 831 Carlisle St. in Hanover. 

The event is presented in partnership with Utz Foods, Walmart, Hanover Area YMCA, American Legion Post #14, Hanover Moose Lodge #227, Minuteman Press, Burkentine Real Estate Group and Hanover Eagles Order #1406. Backpacks of school supplies will be provided to the community. 

While there, constituents can also have their child safety seats checked by a certified car seat technician to make sure they are properly installed. These services are provided at no cost.

“School will soon be back in session! Kids and families across the 169th District are gearing up for another busy academic year,” said Klunk. “We are working with several community partners this year to ensure every primary school student has the supplies he or she needs to thrive in the classroom. I’m looking forward to a fun evening supporting our students.”
