Klunk Pleased to Announce Funding for Project in Glen Rock Borough
3/16/2023
HARRISBURG- Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) announced new state funding today for a municipal project in the 169th District.

Glen Rock was awarded a $981,000 Local Share Account (LSA) grant for a waterline replacement project in the borough.

“I am pleased to see this funding approved to improve water safety and quality delivered to residents of Glen Rock,” said Klunk. “Municipal leaders have expressed the need for this funding, and I was happy to be an advocate for the grant. Improving the safety and reliability of our water is absolutely critical.”

Klunk also explained that LSA grants are funded by revenues collected as part of Pennsylvania’s Gaming Act, not by taxpayer dollars.

The project will replace approximately 4,000 linear feet of 4” diameter water main with 6” diameter ductile iron water main. New gate valves will be placed at intersections to allow the authority to isolate leaks and other issues in the system.

The funding was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today. CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
